FAQs

  • Our initial appointments are 60 minutes long. This means we have plenty of time to get to know you and your situation, accurately diagnose your pain and where it’s coming from, and start you on your way to a happier, healthier you. We will ask you lots of questions about your injury, training, lifestyle, injury history and medical history, as the better we understand all the factors the quicker we can get you better.

If you have significant medical or injury history or specific goals in mind, write them down so we don’t miss anything. If you have any relevant scans or referrals please bring those as well.

Comfortable clothing you can move easily in is also recommended. Shorts are our preferred for everyone and a bra, sports bra or fitted singlet is best for ladies as we prefer if you are comfortable to remove your shirt.

  • Many people are sceptical that we can effectively do physiotherapy online and whilst we can’t speak for all physiotherapists, our unique treatment model means it is an option for us. We’ve completed hundreds of online appointments over the last few years and have shown we can effectively treat many different kinds of injuries without people ever having to come in to the clinic.

For more information please visit out “Online Physio” service page or feel free to get in touch to specifically discuss your situation before you commit to an appointment.

  • If you have a relatively minor injury with minimal tissue damage and there’s no real biomechanical contributors, you could be back to normal in as little as 2-3 sessions and 2-4 weeks.

If there are significant biomechanical contributors to your injury, we will be treating not only where you feel the pain but also the greater problem that created the injury, which means we may require a few more sessions to ensure we get you back to full function and decrease your risk of future injury.

If pain is due to longstanding biomechanical problems that have created significant muscle imbalance, you will likely need to continue rehab for anywhere from 3-12 months. In this situation, only you can restore the muscle strength, our role is to direct you on the right path so the more committed you are, the faster you will see results. Depending on your specific situation, we can often extend out treatments out to every 3-4 weeks after the initial few sessions.

We know that sitting on the sidelines is no fun but we also understand that physiotherapy treatment costs money. This is why we are always mindful of your goals and resources and committed to being up front with you about your progress and expected recovery. We don’t believe that being pain-free and active should only be accessible to those that can afford regular treatment, which is why our goal is to give you the tools you need to resolve your pain and stay injury free.
